HFC Friends

Statement of Purpose

HFC Friends supports the mission of Heroes for Children through volunteer efforts to strengthen and expand social and emotional assistance provided to families with children battling cancer. HFC Friends strives to ensure that the special moments in the lives of these children are recognized and celebrated despite their ongoing battle with cancer.

Volunteer Opportunities

Valentine’s Dinner — HFC Friends members plan, coordinate, and host a special evening for parents with a child battling cancer. This event is an opportunity for the parents to have a “date night” while their children enjoy a fun evening of activities.

Heroes Milestones — HFC Friends members help support and execute milestone life events for children battling cancer as needs arise throughout the year. These celebrations can include birthday parties, Quinceaneras, proms, graduations, and even Celebration of Life parties for a child in the final stages of life.

Holiday Heroes — HFC Friends members have the opportunity to adopt a family with a child battling cancer for the holidays through the Holiday Heroes sponsorship program. The families receive their gifts at a holiday party that is planned, coordinated, and executed by HFC Friends members.
