The Heroes for Children 5K is a great way to get involved! Join families for a full day of fun to benefit a great cause! Bounce houses, trackless train, face painting, etc entertain the children.
When: Saturday, September 13, 2008 Where: Shops at Legacy, Plano TX Time: 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 7:45; 5K begins at 8:15 am Event Co-Chairs: Jennifer Rayson and Tawn Merrill Honorary Chair: Mayor Pat Evans, City of Plano Featuring live concert performance from children's singer and songwriter Eddie Coker! Childhood Cancer Awareness Month The annual 5K Run/Walk is held in September in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. More than 1,000 children will diagnosed with a form of cancer in the state of Texas this year. Did you know that 1 in 4 elementary schools have a child with cancer? This is your opportunity to honor their fight and raise funds to make a difference in their lives! Become a Fundraiser! New this year is the opportunity for participants to fundraise. Register Online and create a fundraising page to let friends, family, co-workers, etc know you are participating in the event.
